FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • How long should my flowers last?
Most flowers should last at least 5-7 days. Do change the water regularly. If you notice any drooping recut the stems by a few centimetres to enable more take-up of water. Change the water and add more plant food - a teaspoon each of bleach, sugar and lemon juice. Remove any stems that don't revive after 12 hours.
  • How do I care for my flowers?
When you receive your flowers, cut the stems by a few centimetres. Prepare the water by adding a teaspoon each of bleach sugar and lemon juice. Arrange and cut stems to size if necessary
  • My flower heads are drooping, what should I do?
If any flowers are drooping, recut the stem by a few centimetres to enable the take-up of water. Change the water and add more plant food - a teaspoon each of bleach, sugar and lemon juice.
  • When should I order my flowers?
To enable proper conditioning of the flowers to extend their vase life, please order 24 hours in advance. I pick the flowers either early in the morning or last thing at night while they are at their most turgid (full of water) and soak them in water for 12-24 hours before arranging.
